A Dozen Roses - Hydroponic Rose Farm Tours Details -
A guided tour of A Dozen Roses takes approximately one & a half hours but this is entirely dependent on the size of the group & the depth of the interest in the tour. We can customize your tour to fit your particular schedule.
The tour begins with a brief history on the background of the Mann family & the origins of A Dozen Roses. Then you are escorted through the two cultivation greenhouses where the hydroponic roses are grown. The growing process is explained in detail. Visitors get to experience the climatic conditions that the roses are grown under. All the many rose varieties that we grow are displayed. The tour then takes a detailed view of the processing shed where the roses are prepared for bunching into dozens & for sale. A brief tour of the cold storage facility for the roses and finally a browse through the beautiful farm retail outlet where the roses can be purchased, or other memorabilia.
